Kodris is a platform which is established with the purpose of teaching coding to children from 8 to 16.
Using coding and algorithm, children acquire the 21st century skills like the ability to view problems from different perspectives to find solutions, to think in a systematical and creative way and to offer the shortest solutions. When students understand the logic of algorithm, they realize that everything occurs in a certain order and that essential things do not happen when there is no certain order. Coding is not only limited to computer sciences, but it is also very important in terms of interdisciplinary interaction.
Many developed countries that realized the importance of the skills of our age such as algorithmic thinking, analytical thinking, critical thinking, problem solving, design-oriented thinking have made a radical change in their education systems. Countries such as USA, UK, France, Finland, Germany, South Korea, Israel have added coding courses to education curricula since primary school with the purpose of bringing in coding skills at an early age in order to train new individuals equipped with 21st century skills.
The Kodris platform basically provides e-learning opportunities aiming to form a basis for advanced computer skills required at the primary and secondary education level, by improving the algorithmic/computational thinking skills of the students.
Kodris is a game-based online e-learning platform that completed Research-Development activities (age-based learning level etc.) which is used in private and public schools to teach algorithm and the actual coding language. It has a certain curriculum and student-teacher interaction opportunity.
National and international literature review was made when creating the Kodris platform. It has been evaluated several times thanks to the cooperation with schools and universities. Overseas practices were examined on site in order to achieve the best results. A curriculum approved by Ankara University has been prepared in order to be able to use the platform throughout Turkey. The curriculum is also pending approval by the Ministry of National Education.

There are important points that we take into account when teaching our subjects in Kodris.

- Thanks to our intelligent tracking system, we have developed a system that automatically assesses and scores the solutions found by the students.
- We have set up the live support service to respond to any inquiries regarding Kodris.
One of our most important goals in developing Kodris platform is to be different from our competitors. For this purpose, we have designed our platform which provides real and block coding opportunities for our students within the scope of a curriculum that's in line with the Turkish education system. These two modes are integrated in Kodris. Smart Control can be used to keep track of the learning progress of the students. In addition, our students and teachers can design and share their own scenes using the "game builder" module.
Using Python language, which is one of the ideal coding languages for the beginners of coding lesson, our students can develop all kinds of software independent from the platform used. Thanks to Phyton language which is one of the most popular languages today with a syntax that is easy to write and understand, our students learn coding fondly.
In our curriculum, which is prepared in line with the Turkish education system, there are 24 subjects that will be taught in 28 weeks. Our subjects progress from the simplest to the most difficult.
There are features that can be used when logging in the Kodris platform through the teacher account. The teacher's platform contains an "Instructor's Platform" through which you can keep close track of your students' assignments. Lesson plans are available in the teacher's guide, which will help you teach your lessons efficiently. There is a game builder that will enable you to make online exams and prepare assignments.
Our students help our 16 characters complete their tasks using the 3-dimensional isometric platform in Kodris. These 16 characters consist of the main characters and other characters that are created as the allies or enemies of the main characters. When helping the characters reach their goals, our students learn the Python language.
With a team consisting of young people who are open to innovations and who love to make research, Kodris continues to work by constantly renewing itself.
